Don’t you just love the winter. Surprisingly enough the northeast hasn’t experienced anywhere what we experienced last winter. That makes it a little bit easier to deal with. Im a fan of fall, spring, and early summer. There’s just something about winter that doesn’t quite do it for me, lol.
However, the winter is the absolute perfect time to build your business. The winter is the time to put your nose to the grind and focus on work. Whatever it is that you’re working on has to be ready to go by late Spring.
That applies to any and everything. If you’re a student, now is the time to secure your summer internship. Yes I know it’s only January, but, this is the time to nail down where you’ll be working this summer.
If you have a weight loss goal, now is the time to nail down your fitness plan and get cracking. Join a gym, workout on your own or whatever you need to do and stick with it!
If you happen to be in the New York/NJ area and you need to make sure you have that model body just in time for the summer join Body Makeover Fitness. I know the guy who owns it and they do what the name says, they totally makeover your body. Body Makeover Fitness is a personal Training Studio located right along the Hudson River. The best thing is that they guarantee their results. Trust me, you’ll look 100 times different once you start training at Body Makeover Fitness. They also have a very informative fitness blog. If you join, tell em American Beauty Magazine sent ya.
If you’re starting your modeling career than this is the time to get your website near perfect so that by spring your website is starting to generate revenue.
With that being said let’s move onto Step #4. Setting up your WordPress blog.
Now you may be asking yourself, “I thought I was going to create a website, not a blog?”
Let me answer that by telling you in a nutshell, WordPress is not only a blog software but it’s also an excellent content management system that’s design to run a blog or a full blown website. It’s the most versatile and simple cms around. Once you start to use it you’ll understand how simple it is.
So how exactly do you setup this complex content management system? Trust me, as I keep telling you, it’s super duper simple.
As I keep reiterating, you have to have your website hosting already setup. THIS ONLY WORKS THROUGH YOUR WEB HOST! So if you haven’t already done so, go signup for HostGator or BlueHost. Remember, you need to own your own website. The investment is only $80 or $90 bucks or so.
So now that you have that setup, all you have to do is a simple 1-click install and WordPress will be setup on your site is READY TO GO!
Watch the video below which explains it. It’s super simple.
I know I went on a rant earlier about getting things done during the winter. What things are you working on this winter that you want to have ready by late Spring just in time for Summer? Leave your comments below!
